Peter F. Ziblatt is a real estate and land use attorney with twenty-five years of experience advising clients on complex real estate and land use entitlement matters, specializing in acquisition and investment due diligence, and obtaining development approvals and permits for both residential and commercial real estate developments. Over the course of his career, Peter has represented clients on a broad range of planning and zoning matters, natural resources/environmental issues, CEQA, public agency negotiations and public hearing representation, the subdivision map act, and affordable housing, SB 35, and the State Density Bonus law. He brings a distinct business-centric perspective to his legal practice stemming from his own personal experience in private sector land development, home building and real estate asset management.  Because of this diverse real estate career, Peter also has experience in purchase and sale agreements, title, easement and escrow matters, project financial underwriting and construction, impact fees, and public lands.

Peter began his legal career at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter and Hampton where he represented real estate clients in land use development, natural resources/environmental matters and commercial real estate transactions before leaving to join Braddock and Logan, a Bay Area-based private real estate development group, where he acquired and/or entitled over 1000 residential units across the Bay Area over a seven-year period. In 2008, during the height of the financial crisis, Peter joined Wells Fargo Bank's Commercial Owned Real Estate group as a Vice President to lead a team that oversaw the foreclosure acquisition, asset management and disposition of a bank-owned commercial real estate portfolio in excess of $700 million, with assets throughout the United States and across all commercial real estate asset classes, including office, retail, land, resort and multifamily assets.

Peter joined PZLG in 2015 and has worked on several high-profile residential developments in San Francisco on behalf of Lennar Multifamily and Axis Development and represented Alameda Point Partners in its entitlement of the former Alameda Naval Air Station.

He has represented Carmel Partners in the acquisition of 140 multifamily units from the U.S. Navy, reviewed multiple CEQA documents on behalf of clients in Oakland, assisted Brookfield Real Estate Finance in its acquisition of a high-rise development site in San Francisco, and represented a global investment firm in its acquisition of 140 single family lots in Dublin. Peter has represented clients or worked on projects in many cities throughout the Bay Area including, Vallejo, Millbrae, Burlingame, Dublin, Emeryville, Oakland, Milpitas, Union City, San Jose, Redwood City, Mountain View and Daly City.

Peter received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1998, He has a Master of Public Policy & Administration from California State University Sacramento and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science where he also competed as an 800 meter runner on the University's Track & Field Team.  Peter is also a licensed real estate broker.
